Miolo Winery was started by Giuseppe Miolo from Italy in 1897 with its first vineyard in Vale dos Vinhedos which, today, is the only growing region in Brazil designated with Denomination of Origin (D.O.V.V.). Miolo is the main producer of Brazil’s famed sparkling wines and also makes quality still wines from four different regions.

The Wines

Sieval Cabernet Sauvignon

These Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown on estate vineyards located at the Campanha Central region, an area known for argillaceous sandy soil. The wine is ruby red with medium intensity. It exhibits red fruit with minty notes. It is fresh and balanced with fine and harmonic tannins.

Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

Limpid and intensely ruby red, this wine has great aromatic intensity with expressive varietal character. Cassis, black pepper, black fruits and oak blend in perfect harmony. Structured with balanced tannins, it has great mouth feel.

Cuvee Giuseppe Chardonnay

Named for the founding family member, this wine is limpid with great color; yellow with some green shades. It has aromatic intensity with hints of oak, honey and fruits such as peach, pear, apricot, and pineapple. Creamy with great volume, balanced acidity and a long finish.

Wild Gamay Nouveau

With shades of ruby and violet, this highly aromatic wine exhibits intensity and tipicity highlighted by carbonic maceration. Aromas of strawberry, guava and carmelized apple are accompanied by soft structure for balanced, pleasant and easy drinking. No added sulfites!

Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc

Red gives way to violet shades and a nose of black fruit jam mixes with some black pepper in this wine made complex with oak notes that respect the fruit character. Enjoy the lush medium structure, well balanced tannins, great mouth volume and refreshing acidity.

Lote 43

A blend of 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon, this wine is aged for 12 months in a mix of new French and American oak barrels. The result is a wine of great complexity, harmony and elegance. It is made only in excellent vintages.

Reserva Chardonnay

Yellow color with great intensity and some light green shades. High aromatic intensity pairing with fruit and oak aromas; apple and pineapple notes. Great mouth volume, balanced acidity and pleasant finish.
